The Best Property Views in California 2022

Everyone dreams about beautiful houses, expensive cars, and exotic holidays. But not everybody is lucky enough to have these things in their lives. California is among the most geographically diverse places in the United States and with diverse terrain, comes a multitude of fantastic views, from some of the most luxurious properties on the globe. From stunning mountain views in California to man-made landmarks and waterways, I cover some of my favorites below.

For me, a house with a fantastic view has always been a dream of mine. When I’m researching pieces, looking at realtors and architects, the first images I’m drawn to are the views from the pool and the living spaces! If I was spending millions on a property, for me, the view would be the main selling point. I wrote a piece on some of the most luxurious houses in Miami, some of the best views I’ve seen!

In this blog post, I’m going to be showcasing some of the best views available across California, from Los Angeles and San Fransisco to Sacramento, these properties boast some of the best views the West Coast has to offer!

What’s the psychology behind a view?

The theory is that as humans, we seek pleasure from views like these due to a few psychological reasons. Being up high, with good visibility, it sits well with Humans, according to Sarah Augustin. She says, “When we had prospect and refuge, we could see hungry carnivores who might want to eat us approaching, for example, and could act accordingly.” High places also have the connotations of success and power. She goes on to say “Think about CEO offices on the top floor of buildings, for example. Having a feeling of power is generally pleasant.”, which really hits home.
